Îíè âûõîäèëè íà ñöåíó áåç êàêèõ-ëèáî îñîáûõ öåðåìîíèé, ïðîñòî îäèí çà äðóãèì, êàê äðóçüÿ îáû÷íî ñîáèðàþòñÿ íà äæåì-ñåøí”. Ïîçæå Ýëëèíãòîí âñïîìèíàë î ãàñòðîëÿõ â ÑÑÑÐ: “Çíàåòå ëè âû, ÷òî íåêîòîðûå èç íàøèõ êîíöåðòîâ ïðîäîëæàëèñü òàì ïî ÷åòûðå ÷àñà? Äà, è íèêòî íå æàëîâàëñÿ – íè ïóáëèêà, íè ðàáîòíèêè ñöåíû, íè äàæå îðêåñòðàíòû. Ðóññêèå ïðèõîäèëè ñëóøàòü íàøó ìóçûêó, à íå ïî êàêîé-ëèáî äðóãîé ïðè÷èíå.
